Program Curriculum
In this module, you will understand the context of graphic design and its main applications, learning how effective visual communication is built. You will work with Gestalt principles, typography fundamentals, colour theory, composition and visual hierarchy, building a strong foundation for more consistent, readable and balanced design work.
You will master the fundamentals of vector-based design in Adobe Illustrator, creating shapes, icons and scalable layouts. You will also use advanced tools to refine details, improve workflows and prepare files for different formats, while applying typography principles to graphic pieces.
In this module, you will learn the core interface and functions of Adobe Photoshop, including files, layers and essential tools. You will apply image editing and manipulation techniques such as cropping, retouching, composition and adjustments, as well as colour correction and enhancement to produce more polished and professional visuals.
You will explore Midjourney, Adobe Firefly and Adobe Express to support ideation, generation, editing and adaptation of visual content. The goal is to integrate AI into the design workflow, increasing productivity and creative range while learning how to validate and select outputs effectively.
In the final stage, you will develop an integrated final project, applying design fundamentals and skills in Illustrator, Photoshop and AI tools. You will plan, execute, refine and present work with visual consistency and technical quality, organising the results into a project portfolio that demonstrates your new skills.
